The magic of separation
These works are a tribute to the fascinating dynamic that arises when two worlds are separated. On one side, one color surface stands radiant and yet mysterious, while on the other side another color surface presents itself with an equally intense radiance. But it is the stripe, the movement in between, that breaks out and reveals the true essence. The areas of color that become visible on both sides of the stripe are not simply static elements, but show color gradients, sometimes from light to dark, sometimes almost chaotic in different colors. They merge gently with one another and create an illusion of movement and dynamism. These color gradients reinforce the tension between the surfaces. It is this tension between the colors and surfaces that brings these works to life, a tension that seeks the balance between contrast and harmony and invites the viewer to explore the subtle nuances and subtleties hidden in each painting.

Laid Transition
The large-format paintings are created over a long period of time. Layer after layer of paint is applied, shifted, removed and added. Each layer brings a new dimension to the work and marks the ongoing process until the moment arrives when the last layer finds its place. The boundaries between top and bottom blur, creating a dynamic balance that constantly challenges the viewer anew. Colors play the central role - they guide, connect and lend the works their multi-layered depth.

Layers of movement
These works reveal a fascinating world of different layers that are superimposed and merge into one another, with the theme of the materiality of color and painting itself playing a central role. Rough textures and dynamic directions characterize the compositions and create an atmosphere of movement and restlessness. The paintings show a multitude of layers that overlap and run into each other. Translucent effects allow parts of the lower layers to show through and lend the works a certain transparency and depth, emphasizing the materiality of the paint and making it possible to experience painting as a physical medium. The movement in these paintings is palpable, almost tangible. Lines and shapes seem to move in different directions while simultaneously interacting with each other.
